Otmarov is a small, charming town in Southern Moravia, an eastern region of the Czech Republic, just over nine miles from the capital city of Brno.
To facilitate traffic and enhance the urban design, the town of Otmarov focused on modernising and improving the efficiency of its public lighting installation, which also resulted in greater safety for its citizens. In this case, luminaires with the best LED light sources were required. Therefore, the decision to entrust Otmarov&#8217;s lighting installation to Disano was obvious considering the Italian company&#8217;s consolidated experience in the sector.
The lighting project included the installation of Mini Giovi, streetlights characterised by a luminous flux of the highest quality, flicker-free, with a high colour rendering index and a colour temperature of 3000K. The LED sources are the only ones that can truly minimise polluting emissions and reduce energy costs.
They are perfect for illuminating streets, cycle lanes and pedestrian areas as well as squares and historic town centres. For the Czech town, this means safeguarding not only the safety and visual health of the residents, but also the wellbeing of the surrounding flora and fauna, as demonstrated by recent research.
Mini Giovi luminaires can also be equipped with sophisticated systems for real-time management, diagnosis, and monitoring of lights, representing a valuable contribution in terms of efficiency and eco-sustainability.
Advanced technology combined with a minimalist and compact aesthetic design allow the luminaires to dialogue in harmony with the surrounding urban fabric and nature.
The lighting system developed by Disano has succeeded in combining safety, liveability, and wellbeing for all the inhabitants of Otmarov, because a properly lit city is a better place to live in.
