The Mission laïque française is a non-profit organisation aimed at spreading the French language and culture beyond the borders of France. Founded in 1902, it has since opened more than one hundred schools in almost fifty countries around the world, including Algeria, Nigeria, Palestine, Spain, Korea, and the United Kingdom.

One of these schools is the International French School Louis Massignon, named after the great 20th century French Islamist and theologian, and which has been operating in Bouskoura, a city in Morocco, in the Casablanca-Settat region, since 1996.

The school accepts students of various age groups, from kindergarten to the final year of high school. In addition to the basic school subjects, special attention is paid to the teaching of the French, English and Arabic languages. The students also enjoy well-equipped spaces, such as the 320-seat auditorium, as well as areas in which they can practice sports, such as the swimming pool, artificial grass pitches and even a climbing wall.

In recent times, the Bouskoura venue underwent several modernisation works, including the installation of an energy-efficient, state-of-the-art outdoor lighting system: the project was developed by Disano thanks to its international reputation in the lighting sector. The lighting installation included luminaires specifically designed to fully meet the increasing demands of the modern lighting industry, especially in facilities such as schools, where lights stay on for most of the day.

To illuminate sports fields and driveways, the Italian company installed Torcia, Cripto and Astro, with a clean and functional appearance and extremely high-performance technical qualities due to LED sources that ensure high reliability and versatility, excellent colour rendering, and very long life.

Moreover, LED technology brings a notable cut in energy and maintenance costs and, at the same time, contributes to a stable and comfortable light emission, without glare and flickering, protecting the eye and ensuring people’s wellbeing.

The lighting installation designed for the school in Bouskoura therefore benefits from all the great advantages offered by the LED technology, which can only be used in the right kind of suitable luminaires, such as the ones produced by Disano.
