C&A logistics hub in Slovakia
C&A is undoubtedly one of the leading apparel retailers for men, women, and children, providing a wide range of clothing at affordable prices.
One of the company’s strengths is its long family tradition. Founded in 1841 by the brothers Clemens and August Brenninkmeijer, six generations later, the family is still at the helm of the company. However, although so many decades have passed, the values have remained unchanged.
Alongside the great passion for fashion, the company’s success is also due to the significance it has attached to consumers and Nature from the very beginning. Its vast production has always been based on sustainability, preferring recycled or safe materials to avoid harming people and the environment. The type of fashion promoted by C&A is therefore a ‘circular fashion’, where nothing is wasted.
Moreover, after numerous renovations to further increase efficiency and reduce costs, the company now focused on improving other key areas, such as logistics and distribution. At present, C&A operates two of these centres to supply all branches located in Central and Eastern Europe, one in Enns, Austria, and the other in Nové Mesto nad Váhom, Slovakia.
Recently, the Slovakian hub itself underwent major renovation works, including the lighting system, which was taken care of by Disano. The installation involved the use of Hydro watertight luminaires, which are extremely reliable and equipped with the latest generation of LED sources. Using LED technology means achieving great advantages: from the notable energy savings to the excellent colour rendering and the extraordinary lumen maintenance throughout its long life span. It’s a lighting system characterised by advanced performance, for an evenly distributed, comfortable and flicker-free emission.
For C&A’s Slovakian logistics hub, Disano therefore designed a tailor-made lighting solution, perfect for creating a workspace that provides its users with visual wellbeing and ensures proper storage of goods.
