Escaping the city&#8217;s hustle to reconnect with nature, even briefly, lets you breathe in its fresh scents and immerse yourself in its colours and sounds, providing a moment to rediscover a sense of self. This is the feeling you experience when visiting plant nurseries and garden centres, which are typically located near urban areas. This is why places like the Viridea Garden Centre exist: you step in and instantly feel at ease, surrounded by the vibrant greenery of plants and flowers.
Viridea has several centres across northern Italy, in the provinces of Turin, Pavia, Vicenza, Brescia, and Milan. The shared aim, however, is to welcome customers into a harmonious environment that nurtures both body and mind, where simplicity is the guiding principle.
The Viridea centre in Cusago, opened in 1997, is just over half an hour from Milan. It covers 35,000 square metres, with a large portion indoors and around 400 parking spaces available. The product range is extensive, offering everything from gardening essentials to home decoration items like scented candles and preserved flowers, as well as pet care products and personal beauty items such as lotions, soaps, and detergents. There&#8217;s also a restaurant nestled between the greenhouse and Viridea&#8217;s historic garden, serving simple, natural, and always delicious dishes to satisfy even the most discerning palates.
This lush, rejuvenating space needed the right lighting to enhance the visitor experience. To make the visit even more enjoyable, the lighting was carefully planned down to the smallest detail and entrusted to a company with extensive expertise in the sector: Disano. The Milan-based lighting manufacturer opted for the installation of its Saturno industrial lights, known for their robustness, reliability, and the latest generation LED technology. It also installed the Vision 2.0 floodlight, featuring advanced LED light sources, perfect for indoor lighting solutions.
Both luminaires deliver all the benefits of LED technology, from an excellent colour rendering index for precise colour accuracy, to high luminous efficiency and an exceptionally long lifespan. The output is consistently flawless, offering higher density and stability (low flicker) to ensure visual safety and promote a sense of well-being for both staff and customers. Equally impressive is the significant reduction in energy and maintenance costs.
