Nestled in a favourable location between the blue waters of Lake Garda and gentle green hills, Lazise is one of Italy&#8217;s most sought-after tourist resorts in the Verona area.
Enclosed by ancient defensive walls from the early Middle Ages and featuring three access gates, this village is rich in historical significance, making it the oldest municipality in Italy. Its central area is home to the Scaligero Castle, a rectangular structure from the Middle Ages adorned with five towers. Nearby rises Monte del Dragone (Dragon Mountain), once known for its mysterious fortress, reputedly a meeting place for dragons and witches, now remembered only through its legends.

Among Lazise&#8217;s iconic buildings, the Dogana Veneta stands out; this impressive 14th-century structure, commissioned by Cangrande della Scala, now hosts various social events. The Marconi lakeside promenade, with its undulating pavement and the shining bronze statue of the Little Mermaid near the New Port, is particularly striking as it flanks the eastern shore of Lake Garda.
Lazise includes two enchanting hamlets, Colà and Pacengo. Colà, located inland, is particularly renowned for the Garda Thermal Park, also known as Terme di Colà or Terme Villa dei Cedri, a thermal spa resort for psycho-physical wellbeing. Here, a neoclassical-style building, constructed between the 18th and 19th centuries, stands out with its understated elegance amidst the lush greenery of ancient plants and trees that surround the two thermal lakes, where the naturally hot water reaches up to 39 °C, fostering a deep sense of serenity and peace. Equipped with modern facilities, the Thermal Park offers guests a variety of rejuvenating experiences, including Jacuzzis, neck showers, waterfalls, geysers, and walking corridors.
Disano has implemented a project to illuminate the streets and squares of this town with new lighting. They selected streetlamps featuring a timeless classical design paired with modern lighting technology. The Lucerna streetlamps are characterised by their light source positioned at the top, allowing for well-directed, dispersion-free light emission that meets the latest light pollution standards.
Additionally, the use of LED sources ensures excellent colour rendition and significant energy savings.
Lucerna streetlights effectively deliver the performance expected from modern lighting systems while blending seamlessly into the urban environment, respecting the historical and artistic value of the surrounding monuments and landscape.
In Garda Thermal Park, classic-designed Globo bollards with LED sources have also been installed.
This new lighting installation in Lazise and Garda Thermal Park beautifully combines classic design with cutting-edge technology. All the luminaires installed by Disano not only provide illumination but also enhance visual safety with a stable and precise light output that is also cost-effective.
