Founded in 1955, Koninklijke Vezet stands as the undisputed European leader in fruit and vegetable processing, currently operating in four factory plants. It is situated in Warmenhuizen, a charming town in the West Frisian region of the Netherlands, just a few kilometres from the North Sea coast.

The company processes a rich variety of tasty and healthy ready meals and snacks. Their unwavering commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency ensures that customers receive fresh, high-quality, and rigorously controlled products.

Moreover, in their efforts to minimise environmental impact and reduce energy consumption, they considered the MTTF (Mean Time To Failure) value, an average measure of the time until failure occurs.

The company also faced the challenge of selecting an optimal lighting system for their facility. This system needed to meet location-specific requirements and comply with strict government regulations. Ultimately, their focus was on high-performance lighting to enhance operations, productivity, and, above all, the safety of both operators and food. These high-quality luminaires also help save energy, considering the factory’s need for continuous illumination throughout most of the day.

To address all these requirements, the Dutch company collaborated with Technische Unie of Utrecht and sought the expertise of Attiva Lichtprojecten, the Dutch dealer representing the Italian Disano in the country. From their extensive range of luminaires designed for industrial and commercial lighting, they selected Forma LED floodlight, featuring a watertight housing with a single stainless-steel body, designed for optimal performance across diverse environmental conditions and temperatures. As a result, the Disano‘s lamp is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Furthermore, Forma LED complies with the standard requirements for use in areas where food is processed, manufactured, and stored. These requirements align with the procedures specified in the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) protocol, which ensures the overall quality and safety of food products for consumers.

Additionally, Forma LED‘s size facilitated the gradual replacement of older luminaires still equipped with outdated fluorescent lamps. This transition not only saved installation time and costs but also ensured uninterrupted production.

The low flicker level and glare-free flux of its light sources is a guarantee for visual well-being, making the Dutch factory a place where people work better and more productively.

The close collaboration between Koninklijke Vezet, Technische Unie and Attiva Lichtprojecten has yielded remarkable results. Thanks to Disano’s innovative lighting design, the factory not only complies with regulatory standards but also enhances the quality and efficiency of its production processes, all while prioritising safety.
