Sežana is a city in Slovenia mostly famous for breeding the elegant Lipizzaner horses and for the numerous stables built during the Habsburg period. It is situated along the Italian border, near Trieste, in the heart of the Karst region.

The city also hosts the Rajko Štolfa Stadium, a multi-purpose stadium with a capacity of 3000 spectators, of which 1300 seated. It is the home ground of the local Tabor Sežana football club, which was founded in 1923. Since 2020, it has been playing in Slovenian’s highest division, the Prva slovenska nogometna liga, or PrvaLiga.

As part of a recent modernisation project, the stadium’s lighting installation was upgraded to be greener as well as technologically innovative and energy-efficient, while ensuring perfect visibility for players and fans.

The contractor selected one of Disano‘s flagship sports lighting fixtures, Forum LED, which is currently installed in sports venues of all types and sizes worldwide.

It presents itself as an extremely durable and top performance floodlight, highly reliable and designed to respond to the stringent demands for light efficiency and visual well-being imposed by world competitions and major international bodies such as FIFA. The light sources incorporated into Forum LED deliver excellent colour rendering (5700K), stable and energy-efficient light with remarkable energy savings.

Aesthetically, it boasts a stylish Italian design, including linear and balanced outlines making this Disano floodlight easy to integrate into any context.

Thanks to Disano, the Slovenian football stadium can now rely on a modern, high-tech, energy-efficient lighting system featuring a touch of Italian excellence.
