The Czech Republic is dotted with many fairy-tale castles, surrounded by lush vegetation. One of the country&#8217;s most enchanting examples is the charming town of Hluboká nad Vltavou, in Southern Bohemia. Here you will find the Hluboká Castle, built in the Gothic style in the second half of the 13th century, and Ohrada Castle, a Baroque hunting lodge completed in 1713 and surrounded by a park stretching from Lake Munický to Lake Zvolenov. At a short distance, there is the city zoo, which opened in 1939, and has around 300 different breeds of local and exotic animals.
Hluboká nad Vltavou also offers places where you can relax or enjoy some leisure time, including numerous wellness centres and golf courses to have fun in the fresh air, as well as many sports complexes where you can practice various sports. There is the T.J. Sokol Hluboká nad Vltavou, the town&#8217;s oldest sports club founded in 1893, home to Sokol Hluboka, the local baseball and softball team.
The pitch was recently redesigned to make it more modern and comfortable. The new lighting system was installed by Disano, the Italian leader in the sports lighting sector.
